This week I set out to drop a few pounds to hopefully be able to fit into my clothes again. To accomplish my goal I’m eating healthier and working out at least 5 days a week. One thing I won’t be doing however is drinking crappy beer just because it is marketed as “healthy”.
I’d much rather cut back on my beer consumption than substitute what I’m drinking with piss water just to say I’m drinking beer. Honestly I would rather be drinking water than most of these low calorie drinks on the market.
Beer does have quite a lot of calories in it, which is why I have decided to only allow my self to drink 1 good beer a day, only on days I work out until I reach my goal.
You better believe that Budweiser Select 55 won’t be in my house. Of all of the beers I’ve tried in my life, that is by far the worst in my opinion.
What do you think is the worst “diet” beer on the market. I made the classification of “diet” beers as beers with less than 100 calories. What do you think?

The fatal flaw in this poll is you’re asking craft beer drinkers to weigh in on beers that most of us wouldn’t fathom drinking, haven’t ever tried, and/or it’s been too long since our poor college days when we did drink them.
This is true, but Natural Light has forever burned itself into my taste buds, so that is what I’m voting for. However, most of those beers are pretty terrible.
Yeah, it’s not a perfect poll, but I still have had to endure most of these beers at one point or another. Thanks for the comment.
Most of these beers would be indistinguishable in a blind taste test. People who “vote” for one or another are probably doing it based on branding….
I would agree that maybe Bud Select, Miller, MGD (basically the domestic light beers) may be hard to distinguish. But there is a pretty big difference between Natural Light vs Heineken, Amstel, and Beck’s light beer.
Busch Lite. It’s absolutely horrible. Only had it a couple of times, but definitely remember the foul stinch, taste and “company” of people with which I had this beer.
Good beer is to good to sacrifice because you are on a diet. Got to the gym once in a while and stop eating McDonalds. That is what a thinking drinking man would do.
