Homebrewing Kits

If you’re new to homebrewing or are looking to give a gift to someone who is, a homebrewing kit is a perfect place to start. Not all homebrewing kits are created equal and each are designed for a different type of brewer. Some are made for those who just want to make cheap beer for fun, while others are made for more serious brewers who are looking at homebrewing as a serious hobby.

While I generally suggest shopping at your local homebrew shop, sometimes it’s more convenient to shop online, especially when sending a gift. If you’re serious about getting into brewing at home, then it’s worthwhile to buy a decent kit from the start.

It doesn’t have to be expensive, you just need room to grow.

Most starter kits come with almost everything you need other than a brew kettle. If you’re just starting out, you can use a large pot and be fine.

If you’re looking online, make sure to check out Midwest Supplies. They have some of the best starter kits to get you homebrewing, and are usually the first place I recommend to people other than their local home brew shop.
Their kits range anywhere from $64.99 to $329.99. Just note you don’t have to spend a lot to get started.
