Wow, it’s been awhile since I’ve written a new post on here and figured it was time to dust off the keyboard and give you an update on why I’ve been slacking.
First off, I’m sure you’ve noticed a few posts coming in from my cousin Ryan on the site. All I can say is wow, he has a great gift for writing. I’m lucky to have him contributing to this site and I’m sure you’ll see more of his posts in the future. As you may have noticed he is into cocktails and food pairing, so it’s been awesome to have his perspective of beer on the blog.
So where exactly have I been hiding these past few months? Well I’ve been busy with a couple of things I’m really excited about.
First off I’ve been writing a book about the Oregon beer scene. It’s been a lot of fun and I’ll definitely give you guys more information closer to the publishing date in January 2013.
Aside from writing a book I became a dad again. My wife gave birth to our second daughter Macy on August 22nd. As you parents out there know, the first few months of being a parent is busy. Especially when I’ve had to drive all over the state visiting a bunch of breweries to finish my book at the same time.
Anyways, I’m excited to get back to taking this blog to the next level.
You can look forward to more consistent new posts being added along with a couple of new features that will be rolling out in the next couple of months that I’m excited about.
