Riding the coattails of Sierra Nevada, Harpoon Brewery announced today that the 20th installment of their famous 100 Barrel Series has been brewed to celebrate the annual hop harvest. Harpoon Glacier Harvest Wet Hop beer is a pale ale made with fresh hops picked just hours before being thrown into the brew kettle. Wet hop beers are brewed using fresh, wet hops instead of traditional dried hops (hops contain about 60% moisture when they are first picked).
The Harpoon 100 Barrel Series Glacier Harvest Wet Hop Beer is available in 22 oz. bottles and limited draft availability in stores and bars throughout New England and New York.
